Welcome to Huron Perth Legal

The Huron Perth Community Legal Clinic offers a variety of legal services to residents of Huron Perth County who face economic limitations. Services are largely free for those who qualify.


We are committed to adapting our services to meet the needs of the community. We work with individuals, groups and service providers to improve their legal rights and promote access to justice.


Who is eligible?
Persons who can not afford a lawyer and can not obtain a Legal Aid Certificate, including low income earners, the unemployed, social assistance recipients and others may qualify. If you are unsure whether you qualify, please contact us.

 

 Confidentialty / Privacy
All information received by our staff, whether by phone or otherwise, is confidential and private.
 What We Don't Do
The clinic DOES NOT provide advice or representation in family law or criminal law matters. For these issues, contact the Legal Aid Ontario Area Office.
 Free Legal Services
All services provided by the clinic are free. However, the clinic must sometimes pay others for things required to represent a client; for example, a doctor's reports and court filing fees. Where the client can afford it, we may ask that a client pay the clinic back for these expenses.
 Who Are We
The Huron Perth Legal Clinic is a community legal clinic staffed by lawyers and legal workers. We are committed to providing free legal services to residents of Huron and Perth counties. The clinic is funded by Legal Aid Ontario.
