The Sexual Harassment in the Workplace (SHIW) Project provides a range of services to both individuals and organizations.
Legal Advice & Information
Through the SHIW Project, we can provide advice and legal information to individuals regarding sexual harassment in the workplace. If you are an employee and you have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace, or if you have questions, please contact us.
All information you give us about your legal problem is confidential – whether we are providing you with advice, referring you to somewhere else for help or representing you at a court or tribunal. The only exceptions are if we hear information that shows a likelihood of serious harm to you or others, or if we get a request from Legal Aid Ontario for financial information that shows that you qualify for our services.
Unlike with other legal aid services, there is no financial eligibility requirement for an individual to receive advice or legal information regarding sexual harassment in the workplace.
We can also provide presentations, workshops, and training regarding sexual harassment in the workplace. Presentations can be introductory or general information about sexual harassment in the workplace, or more specific to your organization or industry. If your organization would like to request a presentation, please contact us.
The SHIW Project can also assist those looking to create a Sexual Harassment in the Workplace Policy for their organization or workplace. Please contact us for more information.
